I've known Sara since my days as a student at Ryerson - she ran the imaging lab at our school (think digital printing and scanning) and so there was lots of opportunity to stop in to share a laugh (or a quick hallway jig depending on our moods) and catch up with her between classes. She's one of those truly genuine people who really listens intently when you talk and makes you feel like the only one in the room. On the flip side, she isn't afraid to burst into hearty laughter at the drop of a hat, or create the perfect, perfect, playlist for every event & party. Basically, she's awesome.
When she told me that she her long-time love, Leah, had proposed to her I was overjoyed for them! Leah is Sara's perfect match and they extremely adorable together. And then, as icing on the cake in the next breath she asked if we would be their photographers! Sara has always been one of our biggest photographic supporters, a steadfast cheerleader in our corner boosting our spirits and sharing her love. Now, it's our turn to return the favour and capture this lovely duo at their core: adventurous, joyful, cheeky, sweet and kind.
We joined Sara & Leah up at the family cottage, a place where they've spent countless nights filled with laughter, games, love and family. Since they weren't able to host their wedding up here, we though it only fitting that we incorporate this magical place into their E-Session instead. A little bit of history paired with some cottage antics and a lot of love. It was the perfect place to capture this couple as a whole...
